Chicago Zine Fest call for support.

This year Chicago Zine Fest is gettin' too big for it's britches. They are growing and looking for avenues to expand which comes with needed community support. In doing so, the fine organizers (of which I am one), have opened an Indiegogo fundraising campaign. "When I think about it, it seems weird--- I've been vegan for 18 years, doing my zine for 15 years, and I've never once mentioned veganism in my zine."

"I'm about to embark on a zine tour next week! Zines On Toast! I would suggest looking for shops that carry zines in that area as well as zine libraries in that area. The papercut zine library in Boston is a good one."

"I write about beIng vegan and how it's hard to eat when out of home/in travel . I wrote receipes for food (the one I cook for show cattering which are vegan)"

the Muse, the News, and the Noose

I'm a Chicago native, characterizing me as cynical by nature. I'm vegan, i play drums, and my day job is in the recycling industry.
I write the zine 'The Muse, the News and the Noose" (since 2006). It's been called 'depressing' by some and heart-felt by others. As MTX says, everyone's entitled to their own opinion.
