a place for zinesters - writers and readers
At this time, I make three different types of zines.
Static Zine is a Toronto-based compzine that is released 3x a year. Each issue has a different theme and features about 30 contributors applying a different type of storytelling method to that theme.
pocket knife is a perzine that is mostly doodled art on overheard quotes, observations and my thoughts.
the pressure to be happy is a perzine that is focused on understanding and dealing with mental health, mine and my friends.
Static Zine, Issue 7: The Future
This zine features contributors making a page based on what they think an aspect of the future will be like. Includes ideas on fashion, animals, communication, love, sex, authoritarianism, education & more.
Static Zine, Issue 6: Elsewhere
This zine features contributors making a page based on other places that they've been to. Whether it was travel or a home. Includes a script on flirtatious firemen in Paris, collages of Sappyfest and an American tour, postcard stories, short stories on weird encounters all over the world & more.
Static Zine, Issue 5: Fanzines
This zine features contributors making a page as if it was torn out of a fanzine they would make. Features Bill Murray, mixtapes, unibrows, sex toys, horror movies, female comedians, Buffy, Roger Federer & more.
pocket knife #2
Cutting observations that probably won't help you in a dire situation. Features doodle art on kids saying "I'm sexy & I know it!," the way my hair blows in the wind, a short comic on Sexy Ghosts & more.
the pressure to be happy #1
My personal account on coming to terms with my depression and anxiety and the steps I've been taking to understand and deal with them, as well as the ways I've been trying to be a better friend to others who have similar issues. Includes ways we can all be better at this.
