I'm Jerianne, editor & publisher of Zine World and other things. I've been making zines since 1993 or 94. I live in Murfreesboro, Tenn. (which is somewhat near Nashville). I work at a public library, where I started a zine collection. And I am the co-administrator for ZineWiki, an open-source encyclopedia devoted to zines, covering the history, production, distribution, and culture of the small press.

Zine World is the largest, and oldest, zine review zine being published in the U.S. Each issue contains hundreds of reviews of zines, comix, books, and other self-published media. We also share resources for zine publishers and readers, including word of mouth on stores & distros, publishing tips, mailing tips, publishing & censorship news, info on zine libraries, info on other review zines, and free classifieds. (Some of this content can also be found on our website.) Zine World was started in 1997 by Doug Holland. I've been a reviewer since the first issue. I took over as editor & publisher in 2000. We have an all-volunteer staff of about 25, including a couple of folks from overseas.

I'm also a publisher of perzines, though not so frequently these days. My last perzine was called Rejected Band Names. I also published a compilation zine called How to Be a Good / Bad Library Patron. My newest zine is called Worry Stone; issue #1 is about living with a partner who has diabetes and who is blind.
