I'm a twenty-something US expat happily living in Australia - for the rest of my life as far as I'm concerned. I'm still quite new to the zine world, but I am absolutely loving it so far.
I'm definitely open to trades and lean towards perzines, photography zines, travel zines... but I'm absorbing it all, so I'm open to pretty much anything!
ZINES
Dear Anonymous V1
Dear Anonymous is a zine of the unspoken. A collection of letters of love, loss and emotions inbetween, the letters are bound to move you.
Dear Anonymous V2
Another zine of the unspoken encompasses a wide range of emotions. From a true love gone to pure rage, volume two will move you.
The Perfect Pocket Guinness Guide
This mini-zine is a guide to the perfect pour of Guinness for bar personnel and Guinness lovers alike. With a bit of history and a poem about the dark drink, this guide will have you smiling.
Occupy Melbourne
A half-fold zine featuring Occupy Melbourne, pictures, features like 'Thoughts From a First Time Protester', and my view of the online uproar when police descended on City Square to evict the protesters.

Dear Anonymous 2 is on its way and I'm once again looking for letters!
Lessons learned from DA1:
*250 words or less is good (for one page)
*500 words or less is good (for two pages)
So, basically, you're right in the 1 - 500 words range, but shorter is better. BUT, this zine is about expression, and I don't want to force anyone to clamp down on their passion just for me. I'm flexible.…

As for content, these letters can be confessionals,…

Thanks to underestimation of work needed, a very slow printer and a decision that hand-stiching won over stapling, it's taken me longer than anticipated to finish my zines. But now I have two done! My mini-zine 'The Perfect Pocket Guinness Guide' and the other (not a mini) called Dear Anonymous.

I've had a fascination with zines since I discovered them a few years back. It was more of a passing affection at first like smiling at the cute guy you see on the bus every morning but never bothering to take it further than that. We'll I've plucked up my confidence and am asking zine making out on a date. (Workable metaphor? Maybe.)
A few years back (yeah, again), I started a project called 'Dear Anonymous' that was Post Secret-esque in that people sent me anonymous letters…
ContinueHey, did you ever finish issue 2 of Dear Anonymous zine? I finally have something I can trade for it if you're interested :).
