How many of you guys use fake names? Why do you or why don't you use them? How did you choose yours? In general, what's up with your alias?I use Inertia because I want privacy. Every name in my zine…Continue

Hello! I am Becky, a soon to be college student with too much time on her hands and too many half baked ideas. I went by Inertia for a while, but I am done with that mask. I love trading, so hit me up for a trade if you are interested.
Zines that are Really Very Much Please Trade with Me Available:
Evil Flower #5: "The 35 Hour One": A failed 24 hour zine. Largely about my summer, partially about working at a theater
Evil Flower #4: "The So-who-the-hell-am-I One" Mainly about my sense of identity whether it be a questioning little girl who is attracted to Michael Goorjian or dying to be like Veronica Mars.
Zines That Are Kind of Available :
Evil Flower #1: "The First One" Contains pieces about innocence, living with a chronic illness, my one-sided love affair with a cat and more
Evil Flower #2: "The Sad One" Contains pieces about apathy, chronic pain, a lost friendship, my paper crane wishes and more.
Evil Flower #3: "The Happy One" Contains pieces about my first "relationship", an interview with myself at 14 and why I only write poems about girls and more
Also! Email me at inertiaendshere@gmail.com if you want. I love love love emails.

Evil Flower #5 was originally supposed to be a 24 hour zine but after a medication fiasco the goal was extended to 36 hours.
I wrote the content on a typewriter in the basement of the library and made the layout on the floor in the living room.
24 pages 1/4 size. Contains several…

I haven't been here in a long time! Not since I first made Evil Flower #4. I think today I will scour We Make Zines, see what I have missed all this time.
A few months ago, at the end of my senior year I made a "zine" as an independent project. Every day for a month instead of going to class I went to the library and worked on this piece of crap that was about stage crew at my high school. It looked like a zine, it read like a zine, but it was nothing like making Evil Flower.…

Hi everyone!
I am lucky enough to be spending a month researching zines and making one for an independent project. One of my objectives is to create an interesting and unique layout. I am planning to do it by hand, because doing it on the computer doesn't give me the same rush and feeling of satisfaction.
The reason I am posting this is I am looking for someone to talk to about laying out zines. Just emailing back and forth (Letters would take too long, even though I love…

When I first starting reading and making zines (A whole nine months ago) it was a super secret. I gave my mom a heads up so she wouldn't put throw out mail that was addressed to Inertia and shared the ones I made with a totally cool librarian but that was it. No in my life one except the totally cool librarian (And I guess her boyfriend) ever read my zines. I don't know why I felt such a need to keep it a secret.
But I did. When I would collect crap to use as backgrounds or…

Hey Becky! I don't know if you remember me, we used to be penpals but it kind of died off, which was probably my fault. I took a break from the zining and penpalling scene for awhile but now I;'m ready to start fresh~ So if you want to start writing letters to eachother again I'd be more than pleased to. Hope to hear from you~

It turns outs I'm getting kicked out of my apartment and have to move several states away. Greasy spoon is going to take a little longer. For compensation you will get a free subcription to all the greasy spoons that ever come out. I think it should be no longer than a week.
I got your zine and I am very excited to read it.
I'm in the process of writing a zine about horror films, camp/diner culture, and other random punk things. It should be done by Friday if everything goes well.
After I finish that first issue I am planning to write a perzine about some sudden positive life changes that happened recently.
Would you like a copy of the first zine? It's kind of crazy but I'm aiming for it to be all around fun.
