Late Night Cuddle Date And other Zines.
I used to do a perzine called Late Night Cuddle Date, as well as a few side projects and one offs. Late Night Cuddle Date was my diary, but with the writting cleaned up and in type along with inkings that I have done during those time periods of my life. My Inkings are all done with my ink pen Ophelia (My first pen's Eduardo and Edwina have both now passed away...). The other zine I did as a serial was "Zine Love Letters", each issue is an artistic tribute to another inter's art and zines. The one off zine I had been doing pretty constintly is "The Tale of The Hare and Brick", which is an allagorical fairy tale of sorts, written in kind of half poetic pro's. When ever I run out of copies I add to it and print up a new edition, and with the newest edtion it went from being a mini zine with sparse art work to being a half sized zine with art on almost every page.
If anyone would like any copies of any of my zines drop me a line at latenightcuddledate @ hotmail.com, or you can just send well concealed cash (or a trade!!! Send me what you got and I'll send something in return. Just drop a note in saying its for a trade...) to:

- 101 Studio Zine Library -
I also run a small zine library out of the studio space I share with a couple of other artists. We have it open as free print working space a few times a week and teach a few classes out of the space. It's not the greatest location for a zine library but until I can find the collection a better home I think it's a pretty good one, open to the public at least a few hours every weekday. Anyways, I'm always trying to add to it and I do so mostly through trades. So if you need extra incentive to trade with me keep in mind your zine will end up in the library! Once I find someone more stable I'll probably pass the library on to them, but for now I'm still in charge of it.

I mailed out a HUGE box of packaged up zines yesterday! Going all over the country and to six different countries (anyone know why the ehll mail to France is so DAMNED expenxive??). It covers most of the orders I needed to fill and all the people on my "always mail to list", but I barely have started into my trade stack. It's still about 50 packages deep.... the next few weeks will be filled with lots of zine reading and letter writing goodness!

Almost done assembling the last of the zines I got back from the printer! Just have the stack of Vol. 5 reprints to finish assempling.... taking a little break right now. Hopefully by tonight I will have them all done and have started in filling orders and responding to trades and letters and stuff. I'm excited to be doing that and not putting zines together any more... but I am going to finish all the way before moving on.

So I have three zines at the printer right now (Late Night Cuddle Date 5 and 6 as well as Zine Love Letters 2), and hopefully the printed pages will be dropped off Tuesday just in time for me to have to decide over putting togehter zines or finishing up work for the solo show I have to hang that Friday. I've been framing inkings almost none stop for the last 24 hours, and have finally got all of my finished stuff framed, now I'm sitting down to work on finishing as many mre inkings as I can befo…

Cuddle Date Volume 6 is "done." It's a few days before I can really drop it at the printers, which is good because I still have to finish the poster for it. I'm actually having a hard time doing that.... there isn't a lot of art in this issue (in comparison) and none of the photo's I used to do drawings for the issue felt "poster" worthy... so I'm trying a few odd things out. But I'm happy with the zine, it's almost as big as the last one (60 pages vs. the 68 vol 5 will have in its second printi…

So Jimmy, one of the fellow artists I share the 101 studio with, is putting a big complex art showing/instilation together that in a lot of ways is responsible for me writing Hare and Brick. He convinced me to do the new edition of Hare and Brick a little early and after 48 hours where I spent all of my time not spent on parenting working the zine I got it done! It ended up growing from a mini zine to a half-size zine. It's now got art on almost every page and a lot of full page art work. There…
