Are you a queer zinester (broadly defined, of course)? Do you write about your genderfucking, transitioning, same-and-other-gender lovin' experiences, or about queer and LBGTQ communities and cultures? If so, let's start talking about it.See More

Profile Information

ECHO zines

In 2001 I started writing zines: first a very small free zine called Punk Feminist Mini Zine, then Flapper Gathering which lasted for 6 issues, a comic zines called Radix and Not Lady-Like, a travel zine about Ladyfest Berlin. Now i'm working on Same Heartbeats and occasionally some one-off zines (like Echotopia, a compilation zine).

All my zines can be found here:
http://echopublishing.wordpress.com

I also write for and edit zines made by the feminist collective FEL and I write, edit and illustrate for Scumgrrrls.

I'm very interested in feminist self-publishing and DIY media and I love to trade with other zines (mainly feminist, DIY and/or personal-political zines).

Hey Nina,

I'm thinking of organizing something but "where" is a big problem. The cultural youth center you've mentioned, is a municipal space?

A poster exhibition seems very interesting. Were there zines' related posters (from zine fests f.e.) or cut n paste/collage ones? On the other hand, I'm thinking for an exhibition with pioneer zines from the '80s and, instead of workshops, some talks about different subcultures that were associated with zines (punk, comics, queer etc.). I'd also like to invite a zinester from abroad to talk for zines in it's country, but for obvious reasons that's a bit difficult.
