a place for zinesters - writers and readers
I'm Daily Alice Clementine (obviously not the name on my birth certificate, but who cares?), and I'm a bookish packrat with an affinity for collage. I'm 22, I'm a girl, I like comic books and luridly technicolor tights and instant messaging my long-distance girlfriend, Sophie. I've recently finished making the first issue (of what will, I hope, be many issues) of my perzine, which is whimsically and for no particular reason named Lungless Salamander. It's a little bit about the internet, a little bit about my relationship, a little bit about being an introvert with mood/anxiety issues (I recently dropped out of school, am unemployed, currently live with my parents, and frankly don't get out of the house all that often), a little bit about my enduring love for the band Neutral Milk Hotel. It's $2.75 by mail, but I will probably trade for your zine if you ask.

The second issue of Lungless Salamander is available! It's half-size, thirty-eight pages not counting the covers, same price as the last one, more text-dense, more image-heavy, and probably better designed. It is about mental problems, fashion and its intersections with concepts of gender and femininity, and includes a movie review and a few zine reviews. Very conversationally written and personal, maybe even more so than the last one.
