I write a personal zine called Carrots and Condoms.

The current issue, #2, is about dealing with abuse and mental illness in my family while trying to find sanity in an insane world. It's kind of sad, kind of hopeful. All drawings are hand-illustrated in pen-and-ink, with watercolor/ink color cover. Available at Gimme Brains!!! distro and Sweet Candy Distro. Trades are back up, let me know if I owe you a zine and haven't sent one out!

#1 is about my personal reflections on environmentalism in rural areas vs. cities, homesteading and permaculture, growing up in a capitol city, and finding community. Available at Gimme Brains!!! distro.

Send me mail!. Keep letter writing and zine trading alive!

IF I OWE YOU ZINES PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!

my life has reached a state of chaos from constant moving around and corresponding disorganization, and i know that i have some trades that never got fulfilled floating around. i'm so sorry for the unreliability, i normally make it a point to respond to all trades - a recent discussion thread reminded me of how terribly i have ignored this - soooooooo...let me know. i'll get it out to ya asap.

"Coco Negro from Sacramento, CA makes an awesome zine called Carrots & Condoms. It's a very well-written zine with some great illustrations accompanying the writing. She has two issues out. The first issue deals with the dichotomy of life in the city versus life in the country… Continue

Hey chica! I'm putting the finishing touches on "owls and Bees" (Zine Love letters #2, it's finally done!). I know I got the address right for your contact info, but do you want an e-mail address added? I notice your page on here dosn't have a price lsited any more, so I plan on just adding that the zines are available from Gimme Brains. Did you want me to add anything? hopefully if you want me to change anyhting you will get to me before I get to the printers... I'm not sure when I'm getting there, depends on when I can get a ride!
