about me: i'm a punkrock slut bitch dyke cunt whore. no really, i am. i love porn, rocknroll, sex with strangers, graffiti, guitars, horror movies, weed, booze, sex education, riot grrrl and meeting other grrrls who are fucked up and proud of it. i lovelovelove zines by grrrls. they have saved my life, literally. a lot of fucked up things have happened to me in my life, including childhood sexual abuse (incest), and physical violence at the hands of random men. i've been incarcerated in psych wards, i have been pathologized, i've gone through hell and back and back again. i came out in a small town high school at 14 and got told every day that i was going to hell for being a disgusting dyke. and through all of this, zines and the grrrls who write them have kept me alive and reminded me that i am not the only one. i learned that i can still be who i am, i can still love myself. through the courage of other's girl's words i learned that we can make room in this world for us. i realized that there is this gorgeous sparkle that shines out of grrrrlzines, there's this glorious glitter and shine, and it keeps me alive. as courtney love says: all girls have the virus. patti smith is one way to get in touch with the virus. and girl zines are another one. wearealive. <3

i am mostly caught up with things now,
- all but 1 of the contributors of "i knew a motherfucker like you and she said..." should be receiving their copies shortly, i'm waiting on the address for the last contributor, the rest are in the mail. <3
- i am caught up with trades.
the main thing i want/need to do now is get back to the grrrls i've traded with! i have so many zines to read and comments and letters to write. this will all come along in time. i'm being slow because i li… Continue

things i can do/things i'm good at
i wanted to write this list after i read some statistic about how, when asked what their favourite thing about themselves is, most boys named a skill and most girls listed a body part. i want grrrls to be proud of what we can DO, the active parts of ourselves, not just what we look like (something we have little control over). so i made this list to think about some things i'm proud that i can DO. you should make a list too.

topics i wanna write about for LSOC 11
...incest, the death of my grandfather this year who sexually assaulted me 10 years prior to his death when i was twelve.
