Bri Zine The Scene Queen Machine

A bit about myself and my zines...

I write a perzine called Motor City Kitty. Issues #8-13 are currently available. Information on issues of my zine can be found at www.myspace.com/motorcitykitty. Issues 11 and 12 can be purchased from learning to leave a paper trail, gimme brains!!! distro, or marching stars distro.

As for me, I'm a 23 year old feminist, undergrad, musician, DJ and poet (this said sometimes, but I've started writing again!) who loves eyeliner, dancing, riot grrrl, reading, riding my bike, my cat (Jango Wiggles Scuzzbaby), getting mail and having good times with good people. I've been making and reading zines for nearly ten years now and hope I never stop.

I already did the workshop but I'd always love another zine for my collection, if you would like to trade. I have the 2nd, 3rd and soon to be printed 4th issues that I can send one of each to if you would like.

Hey! I saw your post on the new issue thread, would you be interested in trading? You can either message me here or email me at sean@ashcanmagazine.com and we can swap addresses. Cool, thanks!

don't worry, I understand. I'm actually too broke for anything but local trades after this week... had to buy a new computer unexpectedly. so yeah, let me know when you're more financially stable, and hopefully I will be too and we can trade :)

Sorry for the late reply, been a little busy too lately. Good to hear you're well! Ooh, a good kind of busy, I like that too. I'm not sure what kind of busy I'm in at the moment...maybe half good/half bad. Schoolwork mostly, but some zining too!
Ooh, well, I have been looking through my art journals lately, trying to find something for you.. I'll make a collection on photobucket, and then send you the link hopefully later today/tomorrow?
Hey, would you be up for a zine trade? Then if you like any pictures from my zines, feel free to pinch!

what an awesome thread! i wrote up a little piece in "motor city kitty" #2 (i believe...it's been a few years) all about names and why i'd chosen them (for bands, for zines, etc.) "motor city kitty" was the name of my dad's cat when i was a kid. he…

i gotta agree it's a kind of silly concern. worry about making a bomb ass zine instead of whether or not people will read the review based on its alphabetical listing. even if the zine starts with "aa" it could still be not so good and get a poor re…
