Bri Zine The Scene Queen Machine

it's the first of october. fall has barely begun, but already it feels like winter.

i made a 24 hour zine in july. my new roommate and i worked on the challenge together, taking breaks to get dinner, go to a wet boxer party (we missed the actual wet boxers), and sit by the river and talk. i've only given out maybe MAYBE ten copies of that zine. it might even be less. i'm still not sure how i feel about it.

the other day i finally got off my ass and mailed out eighteen packages of zines to awaiting traders/orderers (including folks from the mini zine swap here on we make zines) as well as just some friends, all of the motor city kitty club members, and a few distros. its taken so long due to being snowed in for about two weeks in january, broke til february, then totally busy due to djing twice a week, school, two jobs and a social life. and maybe a tiny bit of procrastination. i'd gotten some nast… Continue

i just finished a new issue of my zine, "motor city kitty" tonight! i know that seems really close to the release of #11, but that one was half-done in july, the second half in october and i just now printed it. though i finished #12 tonight, it probably won't get printed until mid-january due to my current financial status (unless i figure out the copy trick on campus!)

it took me about a month after completing motor city kitty #11 to finally go make copies of it. things have just been so busy. i don't know why i get so ambitious about zines when i know i'm not always gonna have the time to devote to them (probably because zines are true love.)
