The collection has over 300 queer, feminist, music, art, grrrl zines – and we would love you to send us your work to help the collection grow even further. It's an international collection and has developed out of the interest we have in all sorts of d.i.y. cultural productions.

Qunst.mag is an e-zine created by members of Bildwechsel and the contributing artists. Qunst.mag's aim is to provide a platform for queer feminist artists working in various media. You can download back issues at www.qunst.net.

Bildwechsel

Bildwechsel is an umbrella organisation for women+ in media, culture and art. With its main base in Hamburg, Bildwechsel acts as a platform and as an infrastructure which women+ can tap into to support and develop their own work / projects / ideas, to find out about the work of others, make connections, develop new initiatives and build up archival collections that represent their work and that of other women+.

Bildwechsel houses different archives: videos and films, zines, catalogues, music, original art work, artists files, flyers, posters and ephemera of all kinds … we aim to provide a panorama of women+’s cultural work internationally, from the 1970´s to now. Our video collection holds over 7,000 videos and films, and the women+ artists archive collects works by and about women artists, and their position in relation to art / culture / society / politics.

Bildwechsel searches for film and video productions, for zines, publications and other entries by professional amateurs and random observers - for the archive, for events and projects, for researchers and visitors.

women+ : All women, trans* and intersexuals are welcome at Bildwechsel. Queer and gay men, who are supportive of women's / feminist / queer communities are also welcome. We decided to use the term women+ to acknowledge our herstory as a women's project ont he one hand and its inclusiveness towards trans*, intersexuals and queer men on the other.
