How many copies of your zines do you print/photocopy?

Since my zine is 16 quarter pages, it only cost me 12€ (about 15$ I think) to print 50 copies. Cheaper than I'd thought.

Hello! I've printed 50 copies of my first issue, but the second will be 100 because it's a split zine, 50 for both of us. So, what about you? And how do you decide? Oh and sorry if the subject has...

Are your zines hand done, cut-and-paste or desktop published...or both?

I made my first issue with a computer, with scanned pictures resized etc. But I used a typewriter font... I wanted a handmade look but didn't have any printer or typewriter on that night. I still d...

Zine names

My first zine is called I'm A Terrorist, in it I relate the fact that the parents of one of my best friends do think I'm a terrorist. And so, I'm trying to use my friend to do "the bad stuff" so as...

plus it gets really expensive. I have a bunch of quarter sized envelopes that I used to use for mailing out cards, so if I do a 20 page quarter zine then I might even be able to post it with a 42 cent stamp...

Not everyone makes it their goal to have a super-popular zine with a 10,000-copy print run. There are different definitions of "success." For the past few issues of both my zine and my comic, I've done fifty to start. Then runs of 20-30 as I need...

I haven't printed any yet, but my plan is to list out all the reviewers I'm going to send it to, who's trading, etc., then sell a couple on etsy.com and then if people still want 'em I'll print more.

Profile Information

Errr, what can I say?
I live in southern France, near Marseille, I study English (to study doesn't mean "know perfectly" heh) and after trying to make a zine with two of my friends (God Loves You... Without Condoms!), I'm now trying to create my own.
GLYWC did not focus on anything special, in it there were interviews of punk bands, short stories, theater, pictures, short "essays"...
I wrote I'm A Terrorist in one night of June 2009, after a kind of a fucked up day, it's about social anger, I'd say... I don't know. Oh, by the way, it's in French. It's 16 pages long, in black & white, A5, photocopied on recycled paper.
I'm A Transvestite will be the second issue, in it I'll talk about sexuality, the brutality in it, some different visions of it, gender, I don't know yet, it's not finished!

I'm also lead-singer in a hardcore punk band called The Cheerleaders (ok it's sucks, it was supposed to be a joke) that you can listen to on www.thecheerleaders.fr . We are members of a "crew" of punk bands called Rising Dead Boys, with the bands Lunch and Real Threat.

I like/am interested in/am obssessed with: music, anarchism, black humor, sex, gender, feminism, animal rights, comics, short stories, theater, photographs... So if you think your zine could interest me, let's make a trade!

ps: Maybe some contacts?

I think it may have taken a few months the last time, but I'm not sure. I'm really sorry about the delay - It's so frustrating to not know what's going on. But I will make up another package this week (with some new zines as well) and send it your way again. Could you just remind me of your mailing address please?
