a place for zinesters - writers and readers
This is on the same street as the Robot graffiti. I found the sign interesting for a couple different reasons: it was a bright thing by a dull, gray, funeral home, I deemed it a strange place to a parking lot, and I looked at the sign and went "wow so many different people with so many different purposes using a parking lot by a funeral home!" I know that's not very unusual but for some reason that put a lot of different stories of several different people doing contrasting things in one environment. Just like with the previous photo I wanted the life around the focus to act as a background frame to show the world of activity around it. This man stepped into the photo and walked towards me the moment I took the photo. I don't know who he is but him walking in the background in that shadowy light adds something interesting to the photo and, this guy is actually quite photogenic. I get the feeling that I either caught him by surprise or he actually wanted to be in the photo.
