I would just like to complain about the frustrations of working on a zine library open to the public and where materials are openly stolen. To boot our space is besieged by crazy people so it makes confronting them seem futile.
I hope you all never have this curse

Hey guys! The next Zine Librarians (un)Conference is gonna be in Iowa City IA this summer! If you want to come, you should take this survey and tell us which dates work better for you.
Hey guys! We're the Sherwood Forest Zine Library in Austin, TX. We're opening at the end of this month and are excited to be involved with the local zine community. One of our co-founders was an original co-founder of the Papercut Zine Library in Boston, MA (yay! Papercut!) and Sherwood is looking at setting up a similar circulating system instead of being an archive only. Our email is email@example.com if anyone has any questions or comments. Thanks!
A mobile zine library would be awesome, but of course bummer that your library isn't interested. Your questions seem a little...big to answer easily here. Are you on the zine librarians group on Yahoo? (I'm not at all dissing this awesome WMZ community; I just think in depth discussions on zine librarianship are mostly happening on the list.)
I'd also be happy to email with you about your project firstname.lastname@example.org.
Looking to start a mobile zine library in my town because they library will not take zines. Their best answer is that they don't know how to process them I guess because they do not come with ready made catalog numbers.
But my library has a separate scan label for their books. I have been asking for years, so now I am just going to start one myself.
The idea is to set up zine reading events and bring my zines.
Any advise on how to start this thing?
There's a scholarship available (currently $190) for someone from an underrepresented group (e.g., poc, disabled) for the zine librarians unconference in Pittsburgh next month. Email email@example.com to apply or to donate.
I love zine librarys
I missed the question about Intimate Ephemera. I have it, and to my memory it wasn't hard to find. Where do you live? Email me if you want to take this discussion offline. firstname.lastname@example.org
Hi everyone! Does anyone has a clue of where can I buy the book "Intimate Ephemera - Reading Young Lives in Australian Zine Culture", by Anna Poletti? Thanks!
