Zineklatsch - Gossip for and with Zinesters

„Zineklatsch“ is an open space for all zine friends in Berlin.

We invite all zine makers and zine lovers to a (vegan) coffee klatsch at the Archiv der Jugendkulturen e. V. (Archive of Youth Cultures) in Kreuzberg.

Since 1997 the Archive of Youth Cultures has been collecting more than 12.000 copies of different zines from around the world. It is one of Europe’s largest zine collections open to the public.

At Zineklatsch you can find out more about the collection and our work at the archive. You can also exchange experiences and information with other zinesters about stuff like copy scams, binding and layout techniques or zine distros. You can trade, sell or give away your zines. Or you can just have a good time with nice people gossiping about zines.

Zineklatsch is a quarterly event and will take place for the first time on 05/24/2016, 4-7 p.m. at the Archive of Youth Cultures.

Bring along your all-time-fave zines and introduce them to the others!

We will also like to show you our personal treasures of the archive’s zine collection.

We like to get to know you and love to chat with you about zines at our coffee klatsch!

See you at Zineklatsch!

I am looking for donations in view to the creation of a zine library in the North West of England-primarily the Liverpool/Merseyside region.

Are you having a clear out of old zines?

Looking to spread the word of your own publication?

Can you help, if so please get in touch.

Thank You

Host the next Zine Librarians (un)Conference! The call is out for potential hosts for the next ZL(u)C! You just need to find some buddies and a location, and answer these questions: http://zinelibraries.info/2013/12/19/wanna-host-the-next-zine-libra... and email 'em to me at kellymce at gmail. The deadline for sending that stuff in is January 30 --  do ittttt.

I would just like to complain about the frustrations of working on a zine library open to the public and where materials are openly stolen. To boot our space is besieged by crazy people so it makes confronting them seem futile.

I hope you all never have this curse

Hey guys! The next Zine Librarians (un)Conference is gonna be in Iowa City IA this summer! If you want to come, you should take this survey and tell us which dates work better for you.

Hey guys! We're the Sherwood Forest Zine Library in Austin, TX. We're opening at the end of this month and are excited to be involved with the local zine community. One of our co-founders was an original co-founder of the Papercut Zine Library in Boston, MA (yay! Papercut!) and Sherwood is looking at setting up a similar circulating system instead of being an archive only. Our email is sherwoodzinelibrary@gmail.com if anyone has any questions or comments. Thanks!

A mobile zine library would be awesome, but of course bummer that your library isn't interested. Your questions seem a little...big to answer easily here. Are you on the zine librarians group on Yahoo? (I'm not at all dissing this awesome WMZ community; I just think in depth discussions on zine librarianship are mostly happening on the list.)

I'd also be happy to email with you about your project zines@barnard.edu.
