I am closing the distro after almost 2 shaky years. Email me if you want the zines. All I ask for is shipping and handling cost. THanks.

Call for Submissions/Donations
Radical Southern Zine Archive Project
University of Alabama

The University of Alabama is looking for submissions/donations for a new archive that will collect zines from Southern authors, and zines about Southern experience. This collection will be housed within the W.S. Hoole Special Collections Library and once cataloged will be available for any scholar or zine enthusiast looking for research opportunities or just a nice afternoon read. This project began as the brainchild of our students and staff who have been creating zines, using zines in the classroom, and have a general love of all things zine related.

The goal of the collection is to gather together the work of individuals who are writing in the South, writing about the South and zinsters who are Southerners living across the world. It is our belief and hope that the Radical Southern Zine Archive will help bring together the work being produced everywhere about the South and house it where all can enjoy it. We want all those Southern perspectives so send us your zines and let’s get this process started. If anyone has any questions please email us and we will get back to you ASAP.

The official opening of the Radical Southern Zine Archive will take place in September, and will kick off a yearlong celebration of the zine and the zine community. We look forward to hearing from each and every one of you.

Send your zines to:

New Zine Library in Italy! It's the first time that a library of this kind opens in this country. You can check its webpage here (in Italian):
http://www.fanzineitaliane.it/fanzinoteca/

As they're starting out, they're in need of new zines, so you can get in contact with them through the address fanzinoteca@fanzineitaliane.it

Full Disclosure: I'm not in direct contact with the Fanzine Italiane association, but I've met the director, Gianluca Umiliacchi.

Do you want your zine to be read in Spain? You can donate it to a Spanish zine library! These are the two most important, and I think they work well:

La Fazinacoteka de la MIAO, in Manzanares (south of Madrid) hosts an impressive catalogue of zines from all over the world. You can contact them here http://lamiao.blogspot.com/2007/10/dnde-estamos.html

La fanzinoteca ambulante, in Barcelona, is a mobile zine library which travels around the city (it has wheels!). Someday, they'll publish their whole catalogue online, but in the meantime it's a good way to show your zine around. You can contact them here: http://www.fanzinoteca.net/blog/?page_id=206

I hope you find this information useful :)

Zinesters! We’re putting out a call for donations to help set up a new Zine Library at SHOP Vintage Lounge and Arts Venue in Bristol, UK! We want to create a central reference resource to help preserve and promote the diverse work of the small press world. The zine library will be open for interested parties to browse and read to their heart’s content 6 days a week, from 11am til 7pm.

While we are in the process of purchasing interesting zines from around the globe, we welcome any donations. There are currently very few if any places people can go to check out a good collection of zines here in Las Vegas. I'd be happy to answer any questions anyone might have regarding the project either here or via email! :)
THANKS EVERYBODY!!!!
