Spill the Zines is looking to expand and feature some articles alongside its reviews and news posts, and we're looking for writers to join our team!  If you're a writer that's passionate about zine culture, we want to hear from you!

We're pretty flexible with our writers; all we ask is that you submit at least one piece for publicationevery two months.  Bloggers must be able to adhere to editorial deadlines.

• An audience: Spill the Zines currently averages 1000 readers per month! If you decide to become a regular writer, a link to your personal blog will go in our sidebar, thus increasing traffic for your own projects.
• A chance to make a difference: We're the only zine blog dedicated to British zine culture and news, and we're getting bigger and better every month.

Alternatively, if you'd just like to write a one-off article as a guest blogger, we'd be up for that too.

Pandora Press is now looking for submissions for its second issue!  The theme is sex.  Here are some suggestions in which you could go with this theme:

Sex in culture
Sex in the media – literature/music/zines/mainstream press/film
Sex and religion
Gender and/or sexual identity
LGBTQ issues
Sex and love/relationships
Sex-positive feminism
Sex throughout history
Social attitudes to sex
Prejudices surrounding sex
Sexual violence
Sexualisation/raunch culture

Not Lonely #6

This issue of my perzine is largely concerned with a recent trip I made to Holland. I write about getting there (despite a fear of flying), exploring Rotterdam and Amsterdam and going to a fairytale-themed amusement park, the Efteling. I talk about differences between British and Dutch culture and wonder if I'd like to move over there. There is also an (unrelated) item about books I loved as a child, as well as the "usual" handwritten introduction. The zine was made cut-and-paste style with lots of different layouts, collages and photos from my Holland excursion.
A6 (quarter-sized), 40 pages, pretty text-heavy.

 

The Malcontents' Book Club #1

 

The Malcontents' Book Club is like a book blog, only in zine form. Within it I review (often scathingly) 10 books, including fiction, memoirs and nonfiction.  The zine is made cut and paste style with lots of different collages and layouts.

A6 (quarter sized), 40 pages, pretty text-heavy.

 

They're £1.50 each in the UK, including postage. Get them here!

Hi guys! Camden Zinefest stall applications are now open. We've had a lot of chapbook and small press guys, but not many... well, zinesters, really.
