I'd like to plug my blog Fox & Comet : www.foxandcomet.blogspot.com It's where I write about my zine Toastycats as well as other illustration work and art.
Thanks!

Opportunity for a free festival pass + some expenses, to help do a fanzine workshop at Beacons Festival, 12-14 August near Skipton, Yorkshire.
Hi - I've just confirmed I'm doing a fanzine-making workshop over 2 days at this festival, and it's a pass for two people. Plus some money for food/travel (but don't get too excited about that - you'll still probably end up slightly out of pocket, or at best even).
I'm circulating it here as well as to my Newcastle-based comic-making friends in case you might be the perfect 2nd person! You need to be friendly and good at engaging people in drawing/typing/contributing papery contributions to a zine that I will then send contributors after the festival. You also need to want to come to this festival and be up for meeting me to help set up etc..
I will be able to find a friend who wants to come, & will help me do my thing, but I thought it would be good to share it with the zine community in case you would actually offer more specifically zine-obsessed creativity!
I'm on oldglen at gmail.com
and am generally pretty easy to get on with if you don't mind the usual zinester proclivities for coffee, DIY politics and shambolic interludes.

Comment by WinterMuse on April 14, 2011 at 2:00pm Just wondering if anyone here is going to/is aware of Slutwalk UK? A march against rape culture and victim blaming, which will be taking place in Birmingham in late April or early May.

Comment by Liv on March 28, 2011 at 8:44am Hey all,
I'm running a night at the Macbeth in London on Wednesday night, and am looking for zines and distro's for our zine table! If you'd like to come along (it'll be a nice zine-friendly social event with Djs, cakes and a mixtape exchange) then you don't need to ask, just turn up with your goods and add them to our table! We'll also be launching the third issue of Shebang Zine, so please come and say hi, even if you don't currently have any zines to offer.

Comment by Ellis Jones on March 20, 2011 at 3:52am Hey UK zinesters!
I'm helping to organise a Zine Fair in Oxford on Saturday 9th April, and thought maybe some of you guys might be interested?
It should be pretty cool - there's gonna be mixtape and zine making workshops, DJs & bands (good ones!), plus..yknow, zines...
The facebook page for it is here, and that has more info: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=189270527779053 - or you can contact me here or email ellisjonesATgmail.com
And yeah, we still have some stalls left, so if you're interested then get in touch!
Sorry to trouble you!
