I think a lot of zinesters are in Austin... just not on here.
We personally know a few, but most we know aren't too prolific.
We make a zine page a day but it goes online and gets printed later on.

Austin is filled to the brim with musicians and artists, but most don't seem to be fans of many others. Not locally anyway.
Exceptions are abounding of course. Like any city.

Austin has two great stores for finding zines.
One is Austin Books and Comics. They have a lot of zines and minis and indie and... other. The other is MonkeyWrench Books. they have anarchy covered pretty well.
Plus events. ect.

Houston too, has a lot of zinesters, and Houston Zinefest is pretty fun.

Where are you located in Texas, I Am?

it's kinda weird that there seems not to be a lot of zinesters on here from tx... id think there'd be a lot, with austin having so many creative people--with craft fairs and so many indie movements going on there...

There's so many groups on here I'm not sure I've looked at them all! I used to live in Austin was I was 2 and 3. I had some family and family friends still living there for years afterwards, but I think I no longer no anyone there myself.

Nooooo..... I made the Austin Zinesters group. So there's at least one other person on here from Texas.

Could be! I have lived in Texas enough to call it my second home, but I am currently a Floridian.

I'm not living in Texas anymore, but a lot of my writing reflects time spent there, and my father still lives in Aransas Pass, and my zine features letters from him.
