I feel like I'm cheating a little bit joining this group.  Providence has a great art scene, but as I understand it the zines are pretty much limited to the colleges (Brown, RISD, etc.).  At any rate a google search for "Providence + zines" is pretty depressing.

I live in Suburban MD.... no zines AT ALL. I mainly trade zines by mail. Nothing here but mall rats and yuppie parents. Teen zinesters....are you out there?

I live in Clarksville, Arkansas. Needless to say, there is no zine scene here. Nor much of anything else but Walmart. So I am doing a zine about hanging out under the bridge down by the river drinking beer. Called THE FISH HEAD REVIEW.

I'm from the Washington, D.C. area and there's, like, 10 zinesters I've heard of around here and Baltimore... I'm sure there's a few more hiding out somewhere, but it's still crazy!

I love (and make) underground movies, which have practically no place in D.C./Maryland/Virginia... almost no venues, two rental houses (one commercial, the other sorely lacking in equipment), one movie lab that doesn't do Super 8 or reversal, and many touring movies either ignore the entire Mid-Atlantic or schedule a stupid time for their screenings - it's like the rest of the country thinks we don't exist!

i grow up in Lima (peru) where the zine scene was pretty close in the middle of the 90´s.when i decided to start Entes Anomicos where around about only 4 active zines,in a town with more than 8 millions persons!!!! zine culture there is only apply to the hxcpunk scene.so felt lonely out there.
i was came to germany, the situation was not better,i lived in a small town which around 1000 persons,i continued with the zine in english and mine was the only one here!.after i came back to Peru the situation was better i started to know more people involved on the zine scene so i create a zine collective called "LEEme" (read me) with 28 other zinesters,we do 5 zinefest in almost 2 years!!!!!!.Now im again in Germany this time in Frankfurt, and i dont know any other zinester in this town. But im still doing zines and sending those around the world, doing trades, knowing people interesting in my stuff! and yeah sometimes i feel me lonely but im still here!!!!
