I've just bought my first zine and I'm hooked. Signed up for a zine swap on swapbot, then found this site.

I joined the minizine swap. It was the first time I'd made a minizine and I really made heavy wweather of it. I'm not the most mathematically minded person in the world and the templates for measuring up an 8-page from 1 page zine are all in US letter size. I tried adapting one for A4 but I ended up having to cut and paste. And oh, the adventures with that! LOL!!

Anyway, it's done, photocopied and sent out to my partners. Now I'm looking forward to getting some in the post. I'd do it again, I rather like that size. Su, I'm watching your eco zine swap. I'd like to take part, but I don't do anything crafty or eco. I think I'd like to make a small zine about trying to be more green and the difficulties of doing so. Would that be okay?

I've just set up a swap for an eco-friendly craft zine over at SwapBot - you can check out the details here. The swap date isn't until the end of July, so there's lots of time to work on it!

I just signed up to swap-bot a couple of days ago - I thought a few deadlines might give me more impetus to get going & get some stuff 'out there', and if themes are set, it's a challenge to come up with something that suits your style, but still fits the theme.

I've signed up for the matchbox zine & the mini zine swaps running at the moment, and also spotted this one: http://www.swap-bot.com/swap/show/35692 - it's called 'poetry illustrated with relief prints'. It's not technically a zine swap, but could easily be the basis for a zine. I guess the difference would be that the swaps you get in return could be in any format. But I still like the idea.

The link above is for an awesome zine swap where you have to make a teeeeny zine to fit inside a matchbox and send it to three people. check it out.

Thanks for starting this group! I make most of my zines as a response to swaps on Swap-Bot. Then I flog the extra copies in my Etsy shop. ;)

I'm glad there's 4 zine swaps on the go right now. I just mailed out an art zine that needed to turn around in 2 weeks... man that one was tough. I've also never made a mini zine before, and just had my partner assigned for it. Looking forward to trying my hand at it.
