Just having released this zine on indigenous/human rights, specifically about the Lakota culture of South Dakota USA. . .and one of their elders Chief Richard Grass having passed away on 23rd December. . .wanted to share this with everyone.

Little Grrrl Lost & Found Issue No. 7 is now available for trade and purchase. This is a special edition zine that focuses on the HOT topic of bullying among teens. The zine contains information on what constitutes bullying, the various forms of bullying, detail regarding cyber bullying, statistics, resources, and a special section dedicated to teens (how to handle bullies and what to do if you witness another student being bullied). The zine also contains a list of warning sigs for parents: How to tell if your child is being bullied and How to tell if your child is a bully.



The topic of bullying is very close to my heart. My daughter who is 14 has encountered some bullies at school and there was a time last year when she feared going to school because of these bullies who threatened to beat her up every day. This is a topic that deserves attention. Education is key in reducing and ultimately stopping bullying. Please refer this zine to anyone you know who may have children or teens or to those who work with children on a regular basis.

Artists Against Arizona’s SB 1070 Statement

We believe the decision by Arizona Governor Jan Brewer to sign into law the poorly conceived immigration measure SB1070, marks a new low in the fight to protect civil liberties in The United States. This law allows any officer of the law at the state, county, or city level in Arizona to determine the legal immigration status of anyone at anytime, among other provisions, including making it a crime to be undocumented in Arizona.

Millions of people everywhere believe it will lead to rampant racial profiling, particularly against people of Latino/a heritage. President Obama has called it "misguided." Furthermore, immigration is a national issue and the state of Arizona has no constitutional role in determining who has legal status in this country.

We are calling on members of the worldwide artistic community—whether visual, performing, literary or other discipline—to boycott the state of Arizona in opposition to this unjust legislation, for as long as it remains on the books. We ask artists to not perform, produce, present, appear or conduct business in Arizona so that lawmakers there understand that the rest of the country disapproves, so they will feel the economic impact of their bad decision. We call on talent agents, managers, publicists, unions and associations to also support this effort and the artists they represent who choose to join.

We also call on fans and supporters of the arts to contact their favorite performers and artists and encourage them to participate in this boycott. Fans can also show their support for the boycott by writing to Arizona Governor Brewer, and by supporting their favorite artists when they make appearances in other states.

The artistic community has a natural role to play in commenting and responding to social issues. Now more than ever the time is right to act.

Kerouac-inspired Zine calling for all creative submissions along the theme of 'FREEDOM and CHANGE'

Hi all, I really wanted to tell you all about my new Independent, Kerouac’s Dog ® it's is a brand-spanking new, independent quarterly set to form a bold and exciting creative platform for new writing, design, photography, fashion and plenty more. It’s inspired by Jack Kerouac and the 1950s Beat generation and in honour of these, will eagerly exhibit the newest and bravest work and folios, from creatives all over the world. All tied up with key themes of freedom; truth; beauty; love; travel; wanderlust; sex; taboo; and fringe. The whole thing will be beautifully designed and printed top-to-bottom in black and white (because we have a passion for all things black and white).

Issue 1 needs you – The very first Issue. ‘Freedom’ will be released as a limited print-run later in the year, and available to buy online, to a global audience. So we’re calling on creatives for submissions on this theme and this theme only. As the whole thing is in black and white, the only stipulation is that the stuff you send needs to be in – or look gorgeous in - monochrome. It can be old work, or new work, we don’t mind. We won’t be able to pay you, but we’re happy to put names and URLs with each submission used so please send these through, along with your work.

I'd also LOVE to trade with anyone, as I like collecting all sorts myself.
