We Make Zines

a place for zinesters - writers and readers

Has anyone had any experience donating zines to local libraries and high school libraries that don't already have a zine library? Who do you usually contact and have your zines been well-received?

I make an environmental awareness zine called GreenLight and I'd like to donate some zines around town.

Thanks!

I haven't tried schools yet, but I always give a copy of my latest minicomic to my hometown library. It's a small town (maybe 4,000 people); I just give it to the librarian on duty and tell them I'm donating it for their collection, and they add it to the Graphic Novel section (which I'm so pleased they have!). I imagine not every library is like this, but that's my experience.
wow I WISH that my high school library had a zine section!!!!!
