Hello friends, I am putting out a call for writing, art, comics, photographs, on the practical and philosophical aspects of gender, sexuality, bodies, and queerness.
Personal experiences (good, bad, and other), philosophies, rants, funny stories, observations, interviews, dreams of the future. Ultimately, I want to put a zine out that is a positive fuck yeah for queernessi, transgenderisms, bodies, sexualities, and ultra wave inclusive feminism. A recognition that all oppressions are interconnected, and the time is now to share our stories and deconstruct the dead ends.
Years ago I did four issues of a crudely similar zine called “Girl-Boy” with a co-editor.
It was a fun and enlightening exploration, I want to do it again, this time with everybody!
After the submissions have been picked and assembled I will submit the final zine to an awesome independent publisher. I might also put it on a blog thing for the world to share. If you want to specify rights reserved in your works, write that on the work, or let me know in some way. This is not a profit venture, it is to share experience and open minds, our own, and anyone that reads.
If you have suggestions for a title, please send them in! My original brainstorm title idea “Beyond Girl-Boy” seems entirely cheesy. My new working title is: “Future Fuck All”.
Deadline is Novemebr 1st, 2009.
Drop me a note if you have questions.
- Robert

Hi there everyone,
I am currently researching Zines for my "Women and Popular Culture" class. I have to choose 5 Zines for this specific project, and I am looking to read those devoted to the "sexual experience" of women. I have found a couple online but as I am new to the Zine scene, I am having trouble finding exactly what I am looking for. If any of you think that you could help (i.e. by sending me URLS or mailing me a copy of a Zine) that would be awesome and of course I would re emberse you!
Thanks so much for your time!

I believe you have a copy of mine, which you're welcome to bring with you. I don't have any ideas at the moment, but that sounds like a fun workshop!

I just moved to Portland and have been strongly encouraged to do a workshop about erotica/smut/sex zines at next year's Portland zine symposium. Has anyone hosted such a workshop before? Any ideas? Suggestions? Anyone want to donate an issue of their sex zine for perusal of folks who attend such a workshop?

Be a part of something subversive and great! This year, Lickety Split won an award at Expozine for Best Zine ( “Taking the genre to a new level. Guilt free and fun smut for everyone!”) and ranked #3 in the Montreal Mirror’s Best of Montreal 2009 edition.

* Project coordinator and treasurer
* Advertising Guru
* Fundraiser Fantastico!
* Distro and sales officer

Lickety Split is a pansexual smut zine dedicated to encouraging sex-positive expression and thought. The zine promotes collaborative art making and encourages diverse contributions to climb into bed with one another, because one sexual expression just does not satisfy. Lickety Split wants to help make the masses cum with smutty photography and art, essays and stories in order to fulfill the whole human being and address the complexity of sex.

Here's a review of my zine Adult Themes that recently appeared on the Book Spew site (http://bookspewreview.wordpress.com/zines/).

Adult Themes

Oh what a relief to read XXX rated work that isn’t packed full of “romantic” words, all wrapped up neatly for dumb readers.

Chantel G. is such a wonderful writer. She has a fabulous writing style that really makes you want to read on. From her sex dreams, to her poetry and her stories are all packed with in-depth details of her sexual experience. What really struck me is that for once, a woman was using words that only seemed to be reserved for people like Henry Miller. It is great to see a woman using such language to describe her sexual feelings and experiences. From her experiences of a threesome to experiments in masturbation – I think this zine should be read by all women! I am glad I read it…

Hi everyone!
I put together an erotica-based zine called Sleeps With Ghosts and still have some issues left if anyone's interested. Is costs $3 but I'm also happy to do trades as well. There's a picture of the cover in my zines album and I'd be happy to answer any questions.

My new zine, Adult Themes, is READY!

Adult Themes is half size, with 49 pages of poetry and prose, fact and fiction. I am asking $2 or trade for it. The writing is sexually explicit and intended for a mature audience, so consider yourself warned. If you want a copy, please send an age statement along with your order. (I just want to cover my ass here.)

If you want to learn more about the zine or read a sample from it, visit my blog.

I finished my Mistaken for Straight zine today (haven't even sent out all the copies I have promised to people), and I'm ready to start on my next project, Adult Themes.

I am organizing a reading for July 25. Four other woman writers and I are going to read hot, hot stories (and poems) on a hot, hot night. (I can't imagine it not being hot, hot in July in Kansas.) I thought it would be awesome to put together a zine of my sexy stories and poems to sell at the event. I am going to call it Adult Themes (same name as the show). I've encouraged the other women writers to put together booklets of their sexy work too.

Once it is ready, I'll be excited to sell and trade it. I'll keep everyone posted.
