(**Please Note**
Upon much reflection, I have decided to change the title of the zine, "Different Shades Of Normal" to a title which has yet to be determined. Even though the title will be changed soon, it will be released as issue #5. Just an FYI.)
"Different Shades of Normal #4: Imagination Energy Issue" is now available. This issue includes: struggling with being more vulnerable, not listening to instincts and veering off in another direction, interviews, art, analyzing past mistakes, poetry, ideas, telling the truth, feeling comfortable in different shoes, what being in the middle means, finding no place to fit in and imagining/dreaming one up, deep writing flow, etc.

It is 30 pages, typed, black and white photocopy and stapled. And as an automatic add-on, readers will also get "DSON #4.5: A heart to heart issue". It is 14 pages, typed, black and white photocopy, quarter size and stapled. If you would like a copy of each, email: sandra_reiki_@hotmail.com

Shelf Life issue 2 - The Pleasures and Perils of the Book Sale / Bibliophiles in Beach Read Country

Hot off the press! Shelf Life #2 continues our chronicles in used book hunting where #1 left off. Lots of original photographs and illustrations.

Whereas issue 1 focused on just 3 stores, this issue is jam-packed with stories of shelf-combing galore. In "The Pleasures and Perils of the Book Sale" we introduce you to the weird, wonderful world of library book sales and the sometimes fierce competition that can be found there. In "Bibliophiles in Beach Read Country" we tell a tale of jonesin' for better book stores while on vacation in Chincoteague, Virginia. We review a number of stores and sales in Westchester, NY and Fairfield county, CT and describe our favorite finds there. Plus, our experience at one store leads to a meditation on compulsive hoarding. Our "foreign correspondent" Patti Moore (Tim's mom) reports from Venice, Italy on "The Most Interesting Bookstore in the World." And lastly, we share our thoughts on Greg Farrell's graphic novel "On the Books," an account of labor organizing at the Strand Bookstore in NYC.

44 pages
Black and white
Cardstock cover (in "Lower Hudson green!")
Saddle-stitched (stapled)

$4.50 in our Etsy shop

Ginger Binge

This one is from my partner, Annie, who doesn't have a We Make Zines account...

Are you ready to go on a Ginger Binge with me?? This is a review zine of every ginger ale and ginger beer that I tasted in the last six months, after a bad cold last fall led me to imbibe the drink habitually.

Packed with lovingly drawn illustrations of every bottle and can I tried, and full of fun minutiae and trivia on every page!

Also includes an introduction, history of ginger, cocktail recipes, and suggested reading.

44 pages
Black and white
Cardstock cover (in an appropriately gingery color!)
Saddle-stitched (stapled)

$3.50 in our Etsy shop
