Hello, Girl Love is still looking for submissions and there is a month til the deadline!
We have a facebook group for if you want to stay in touch with what's going on, contribute to it or read it eventually: https://www.facebook.com/girllovezine

We also want to REVIEW YOUR ZINES. A page of our zine will be dedicated to reviewing the zines made by girls (not necessarily with a feminist focus, anything goes). We won't "rate" them but just write a bit about what we thought of it, what it made us think about and then recommend it to people if we think it's good. We could run the review by you before we publish it if you would prefer that.

This will be the first issue of the zine so we can't really say how big the readership will be but the zine is going to be available in paper and later also online. You're very welcome to send us your zines in the post or digitally if you want yours included. In return you will get a digital copy of Girl Love which you can print/distribute as you want.

Email us here: girllovezine@hotmail.com for more info.

Thanks, H + E x

hello! me and a friend are working on a zine called Girl Love and we'd love your contributions. it could be anything, like gendered language, girl hate, safety on a night out, how girls are brought up to see each other as competition, how to make your group more inclusive, girls working together now/ in history... or any of your ideas.

if you want to chat about an idea, message one of us or email girllovezine@hotmail.com.

please share this with anyone who might be interested xx

Support small town Grrrl activism!!!

Beloved Zine Community,

This is Daisy, creator of Muchacha Fanzine and the co-organizer of the Denton, TX Femme Fest. I am absolutely ECSTATIC to announce the biggest project I have ever been part of...FUNDRAISING TO OPEN UP THE NONPROFIT INDEPENDENT FEMINIST BOOKSTORE & COMMUNITY CENTER IN DENTON, TEXAS, Southern Woman's Bookstore!!!

The bookstore will include diverse books & zines with an emphasis on women, POC & LGBTQ writers, artistic events (open mics, musical concerts, film screenings, art shows), consciousness-raising workshops, and more!

In a world where women, POC, LGBTQ projects are time and time again unsupported, please please please consider being involved!!!!

Hey! Hot Trash Zine is a Bay Area feminist art and music zine. We provide an OPEN space for anyone and everyone to be an artist, a writer, a poet, and an activist. We take open submissions, so send your art and writings to hottrashzine@mail.com. No entries will be turned away for extreme vulgarity or obscenity, so be as nasty, as dirty, and as trashy as you want.
This is free speech, baby.

Seeking Real Queer Sex stories

I am launching a new zine project in which I will illustrate true stories of queer sex. (I am using the broad definition of queer as non-hetronomative and/or non-binary)

My ethos of inclusivity, sensitivity and honesty will be applied to Real Queer Sex, I want to represent the range of forms queer sex can take and the range of people who engage in it of every age, gender identity, sexuality, shape, size, race…

No story is too short or long to share, or too “vanilla” or kinky…

Thank you!

If you would like to submit a story please go to www.realqueersex.tumblr.com

If you would like to find out more about me www.theoysterknife.co.uk

By submitting your story you agree that it might be quoted, illustrated and published in my book titled “Real Queer Sex”.

Hi Folks. I'm hoping that there are female punk zinesters in this group who would be willing to complete the following survey: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1Wn0rzIrS9_EHP9lpess5MV1chzog3ZCHVu.... The survey is looking at the impact of reading and writing zines on punk. Thanks in advance and please let me know if you have any questions.

Hi Folks, I'm working on a book project looking at Riot Grrrl zine writers. I'm looking to interview people who identified (or still identify) as Riot Grrrl. In particular, I'm interested in non-musicians who were writing zines and were active Riot Grrrls. I want to interview (and read zines and other writing from) participants who shaped Riot Grrrl through writing about it. I'm looking for individuals who would be willing to talk about how being a RG and writing a zine has (or has not) influenced who they are as writers/feminists/activists today. If you'r identify as Riot Grrrl and are interested in talking with me, or want to know more about my project, you can email me at rebekahjbuchanan@gmail.com or message me here on We Make Zines. I'm in the Midwest, but will be traveling this summer doing interviews. Thanks!
