Hey ladies. I'd love to read your zines. Anyone have some extra copies lying around?

Culture Slut #19 I guess I would call this something of a "coming out" issue. I write a lot about being queer and how this affects my romantic relationships with dudes, as well as my frustration with the constant assumption that I’m straight. ‘Coz, you know, I’m not. I’ve also included some reviews of excellent queer zines for further reading. Please note, I've written a little bit about abuse, so please keep that in mind and read this zine in a safe space.
Quarter-size, 26 pages, black and white, hand-coloured covers.

Culture Slut #20 This is the latest issue. I write about queerness and (in)visibility, the corporate takeover of Pride, moving from small-town Ontario to Montreal, learning French, riding my bike and being a cat lady. I tell the story of my first period, spread some information about my much-loved menstrual cup and share some more zine reviews with my readers.
Quarter-legal-size, 38 pages, black and white, hand-coloured covers.

Each issue is $2.00 Canada/US and $3.00 International. I also have Culture Slut Superpacks available here. You can purchase these zines at my Etsy shop, Paypal to polaroid.panicATgmail.com or mail well-concealed cash to:

Hey Clementine, Aw such a shame you're not in London. The wonderful Laura Paisley on here drew the flyer. If this night goes well it will hopefully be a regular night :D

Girl Germs

Hi guys,

I'm not sure if any of you are in London, but I just wanted to let you all know about this night:

Girl Germs - Camden

It should be lots of fun, a really female positive night, so if you're around in London then please do come and say hello.

The wonderful Laura Paisley & Lydia Harris will be selecting the tunes for your dancing shoes, and you get a free cupcake on arrival. We are also having a zine stall for all your zine-y needs :)

I'm looking for submissions for a one-off zine called I'm Not Like Other Girls.

What I want women and girls to do is to complete the sentence,
"I'm not like other girls because..."

I will make a zine of the responses.

The sentence will appear randomly placed, with all credits at the end, so your sentence and your credit aren't linked. This may help you to be more open, and the zine will flow much better too.

They may be categorised by theme, but that will depend on the submissions.

If you want to contribute, email me at incurable.hippie@googlemail.com

1) Put 'I'm not like other girls' in the subject line.
2) Email me your sentence (I'm not like other girls because...)
3) Tell me if you want to be anonymous.
4) If you want to be credited, tell me how (name / pseudonym, name of zine, etc)
5) If you want to receive a contributors' copy when it's ready, tell me your address too.

I can't guarantee your words will be put in the zine, but it's very likely. I only want submissions from women and girls.

Thanks!

i think a zine is riot grrrl if it is written by a riot grrrl.

i have a question that might seem dumb to most... but what exactly warrants a zine to be considered a "Riot Grrrl"?
