In this perzine bitchfest, I force myself to relive my ever-so-brief glory days of working at a comic store (two weeks worth) and paying the price of watching The Gong Show in public. Plus, very brief notes on surviving Mardi Gras and the vortexes in Sedona, Arizona…and then yer standard reviews.

This sucker is 12 B&W pages, 8 x 11 and comes with a $2 price tag. No trades to prisoners!

Send interest, money and good trade to:

you’ve got a friend in pennsylvania #4 in finished! inspired by all of the hard work put into the latest issue of hoax as well as the fact that i graduated from college today (and don’t know when i could print zines next), i decided to overexert myself and put out a new issue of my perzine in under 2 days. its fairly short at 20 pages & 1/4 size, but is super text-heavy! #4 is about actively staying single while queer and some reflections on coming out as trans* (particularly in the zine community). $2 US // $3 international (includes shipping), or trade! please e-mail youvegotafriendinpa(at)gmail(dot)com or click here for more info!

My 'Revenge of Print' project of a 'Make A Zine Demonstration' was held at the end of April in St. Petersburg, Florida. There were seven people in the hallway at Ramblin' Rose Boutiquel. I did not promote it a lot because I knew there would be space problems. Five of the seven people are now working on new zines.

The demonstration experience was new to me, but it went well. I will make some changes for the next RoP project which will be a zine workshop in July (International Zine Month) an an airconditioned space with tables (!) also in St. Petersburg. Details will be annoounced later.

I can't join the Facebook group because I don't have a profile there (though I do have a page), but so far this year I've printed Square Dance #5 (5.5″ x 8.5″, 24 pgs) and Zero #6: Pro Tips For Tabling at Comics Conventions (5.5″ x 4.25″, 8 pgs (reprinted in Square Dance #5)), and will be printing the next Trees & Hills anthology, WATER, this month. I plan to print at least as much again later in the year.

Revenge of Print is the featured article at ZineWiki for May! We also added a category listing for zines / minicomics that are participating. If you've got a ZineWiki entry for your zine, be sure to add a category tag for Revenge of Print.

I just published my second and third zines of 2011. SIgnals #5 (Radio/Media Zine) is available for $4. One Minute Zine Reviews (zine & music review zine) is available for $2. This year in print is going to rock!

For my second ROP event, I am demonstrating (not a workshop) "How To Make A Zine Using Scissors and Glue" at a St. Petersburg, Florida boutique. It is limited to 15 people and will be about one and a half hours. It's free, but a donation to the boutique is suggested. It is halfway filled now. I may repeat it in July (Zine Month) at a new 'Free School' that is starting up. Print Forever
