Hi there. I just joined we make zine and was happy to find a group for Southern zinesters. I grew up in Mobile, Alabama and currently live in Athens, Georgia. It would be so awesome to meet other folks that share my love for creating, reading, and trading zines.

Hey folks, I am starting a zine distro and want to focus on zines from places not unlike Albuquerque, NM. Basically small cities, towns, rural areas, off the map people that have different stories to tell. Contact me if you do a zine so we can talk. Distro hopes to be online by next month and debut at ABQ zine fest.

We did get your zines.  I sent you an email back saying thanks and just saw that it came back to me and was in my junk mail.  That is totally my bad.  The zines you sent were awesome and I wanted to talk to you about back issues and any future issues that we might be able to get from you.  Maybe we can find some time to talk about that soon.  Thank you so much for your zines!

I just sent some zines from Florida to the archive recently...did you get them?

Also, our local chapter of SDS just came out with its one year anniversary issue, if you're interested in that and the others I forgot to put in the mail.

We just got a huge donation of zines from Louisiana, and another from Tennessee.  Things are going great for the archive and a big thank you to everyone who is supporting the work that we are doing here at UA.  Keep the zines coming!

Announcing the first Handmade & Bound Nashville festival! Saturday, Oct. 1, at Watkins College of Art, Design, & Film in Nashville, Tenn. This festival is for publishers of zines and mini-comics, creators of artists' books, and other handmade printed media. Registration now open! More info at handmadeboundnashville.wordpress.com.

In addition to the festival, Watkins is sponsoring a juried book arts & zine exhibition, on the theme Encoded Structures: Interpreting the Story, to be held in the Watkins gallery during the month of October. Submissions are being accepted now through August 1.
