I am a straight person who is very active in supporting and advocating for GLBT people. I am a former church pastor who is disillusioned by church and fascinated by spirituality.

I love writing and have been blogging for 4 years. I am keen to learn all I can about zines but would also like to connect with and write for the GLBT zine community.

I never posted here that my new zine, imaginary windows no. 4 is out and available. There's a pretty sizable article on queerness, femme identity, and bicycles. Sassafras Lowrey reviewed it on The Femme's Guide (read here)

FUTURE FUN ALL
Hello friends, I am putting out a call for writing, art, comics, photographs, on the practical and philosophical aspects of gender, sexuality, bodies, and queerness.
Personal experiences (good, bad, and other), philosophies, rants, funny stories, observations, interviews, dreams of the future. Ultimately, I want to put a zine out that is a positive fuck yeah for queernessi, transgenderisms, bodies, sexualities, and ultra wave inclusive feminism. A recognition that all oppressions are interconnected, and the time is now to share our stories and deconstruct the dead ends.
Years ago I did four issues of a crudely similar zine called “Girl-Boy” with a co-editor.
It was a fun and enlightening exploration, I want to do it again, this time with everybody!
After the submissions have been picked and assembled I will submit the final zine to an awesome independent publisher. I might also put it on a blog thing for the world to share. If you want to specify rights reserved in your works, write that on the work, or let me know in some way. This is not a profit venture, it is to share experience and open minds, our own, and anyone that reads.
If you have suggestions for a title, please send them in! My original brainstorm title idea “Beyond Girl-Boy” seems entirely cheesy. My new working title is: “Future Fuck All”.
Deadline is Novemebr 1st, 2009.

issue number one of my feminist zine hoax. is now printed! it is 36 pages, half size and the theme is relationships. topics include polyamory, racism in friendships, the case against marriage, womyn only spaces, male feminists, gendered language, the word "feminism", money and power in hetero relationships, vegan recipes and bicycles!

Nowhere 2 Be Found focuses on alternative queer culture. Were still looking for horror/science fiction stories written by GLBT writers.Weare also looking for art that looks good in b & w. This call is for open submissions, but to get your work into the first issue it must be in by December 5th, 2009. there is no maximum for stories. QZAP:meta #2 is Finished!!!

It's done! It's out! And You want a copy!!! A queer zine about queer zines. This issue is great... just read an excerpt:

Whew!!! That's a lot, and it's only the middle of August. Onto the issue! We got a bunch of great submissions for this issue. Teknad has written a sweet little introduction to French and Francophone queer zines, Chris has a piece about queer zines from Minnesota, Sam Stoker writes about their first queer zine experience in Brisbane, and Josh Burford talks about teaching queer zines in the American South. All in all, it's a fairly geographically diverse issue, and we're quite proud of it.

I am making a mini-zine (8 fold vert cuts) once a week starting with the Portland Zine Symposium 2009 going to 2010. IF you would like any of my zines or all of them I will send them to you free of charge within the USA, or for trade to anywhere else on planet earth.

I'm looking for zines that are about communication in non-monogamous relationship but any other type of relationship is fine too! does anyone know of any?

Thanks for starting this group. I've been pretty busy this summer, so I haven't gotten much of a chance to engage in the discussion, but things should slow down in a week or so. I look forward to getting back here more after that.
