Hello folks,

Registration for Montreal's 2013 Queer Book Fair is now open. Biggest queer bookfair in Canada! Happens together with Alternative/Radical Pride and Pride. Sign up by June 1st to ensure your spot at this year's event!

Please notice that the bookfair can arrange for billeting or a little help funding for trips (first come, first served). The bookfair can also arrange to sell your materials if you cannot come in person but would like to send zines/books.

Its a Philippine based project of translating anarchist/feminist/gender/queer/mental health/radical texts from English language into Filipino language with the aim of publicizing it and giving the local community access over these kind of readings. Everywhere All The Time is a radical travel zine which by its very nature explores dissent from the mainstream travel writing industry with its Ten Best lists, boring hotel reviews and bratty first-world escapist adventures. Written by a broke-ass queer traveler of color, the stories within the zine are unimpressive, awkward and short (like me.)  They are completely typewritten and juxtaposed against full color photos illuminating everything from the mundane to the magical and taken anywhere from Beijing to New Orleans. Tarantula Face: Slippery When Dyked is now in its first issue.

Its a perzine and it's 30 pages, half typewritten half handwritten.

Contents include: spoken word pieces, an unapologetic rant (a true riot grrrrrrrl never dies.grrrrrrrr), one night of my dream journal, boxing, canzine and my crush (a soon yet to be spoken word piece).

I am seeking SUBMISSIONS for a DIY Trans Health zine! This zine will focus on FTM spectrum / gender variant / genderqueer CAFAB* healthcare. The goal is as few gender dysphoria triggers as possible as we empower each other to take control of our healthcare. Here is what is wanted:

• Tested tips for treating common complaints such as yeast infections, BV, and UTI
• Discussion of barriers and opportunities in healthcare access for FTM spectrum / gender variant CAFAB people
• Information about herbs and supplements to support well-being
• Discussion of natural and home treatment for depression, anxiety, sleeping problems
• Treating problems specifically related to transition or things done to create gender alignment, such as treating problems from binding
• Submissions should use terminology appropriate to the community
• Where possible, terminology about bodies should reflect what trans men and gender variant people use to refer to their own bodies. Submissions may be edited to standardize terminology.
