We Make Zines

a place for zinesters - writers and readers

does anyone know where i can find a copy of a zine from 2005 called "Transgressions: a political zine for trans, butch, intersex, genderqueer.... people of color" by Priyak Jindal? (i tried emailing them about it but it was automatically sent back with a delivery failure notice.)

or can anyone else recommend some good trans* & queer POC zines?

While Googling for this, I found the address given in their call for submissions. Maybe you could try sending them a letter? From what I understand, that's also the address to order it but no idea if it's updated. You should try sending another e-mail, from what I understand it's a yahoo address so it's possible the inbox is full. You could also try checking the librarything members who own the zine and messaging them if you have an account, hopefully they will be able to help.

There was also a writing event (or something) in 2007, Priyak Jindal is listed as one of the speakers. There is no e-mail there, but there's an e-mail for the writing event so you could try asking them if they have his contact. If that e-mail isn't active anymore, you could try digging around the site and find the organization and e-mailing them instead.

This is all a bit stalkerish but hopefully it will work! I think the zine may exist because there's a librarything/worldcat/google books record and the 2007 website mentions it, but it sounds really hard to find. If you ever succeed, let me know, I'm curious about this too!

EDIT: Here's the link to the submissions address I found, I forgot to include it, oops. http://queerwords.tribe.net/thread/5085882c-1638-4090-a808-5b2b1bb0...
