I am working on a poetry project. Here are the bare bones details:

A Poem a Day
An Exercise for January 2009

1) Write some poetry each day during the month of January 2009.

2) Give yourself full permission to write mostly crap. The exercise does not call for a great poem or even a complete poem every day. The object of the exercise is to get you writing.

3) Spend February doing whatever you want with the poems you wrote in January. Ignore them. Revise them. Add bits of them together. Use all the titles to make another poem. Whatever.

4) On March 1, send me the best of what came out of your January writing and your February whatever. Send me your best pieces (one or two or even three really short ones, but no than will fit on a 8½” x 5½” page), and I will compile all I get into a booklet. All contributors get a free copy of the booklet. (Send a one or two sentence bio too, so readers can learn a bit about you.)

If you are interested, please add me as a friend or send me your email address so we can contact each other directly.

I am not interested in being associated with anything sexist, racist, homophobic, etc., so if I feel like any poetry submitted is that kind of bad news, I will contact the poet for a discussion before publishing.

WHIP has it's first ever issue out and we'd love to swap with anyone! it would be really great to swap with some other poetry zines to see what everyone else is up to.
WHIP is full of poetry, a bit of prose, some photographs and a drawing. if you're interested in swapping, just send us a message.

hi, i edit a little poetry zine called woven. issues #4, 5 and 6 are available for trade, or postage, or a nice letter with a poem in it. issue #7 is currently seeking submissions with the theme "science fiction" - please interpret as specifically or as broadly and tangentially as desired. woven has a webpage with more information and news.

Ah, I didn't see that this thread went from most current to least current and not vice versa, when I read the last few posts.

Re: Chantel... For selling I thought about using etsy but basically one could do with less expenses if instead one simply put out their zine info here and people could request to order it, then pay by mail or online with paypal. What do you think?

And yes, we need to unite in the causes of creativity, it is the only thing I can think of to stop the fear-based violence-based politics that's making our world turn more hellish with each president.

hello poets! www.fallyrag.com features at least one poet in every issue and is an important part of the creative section of our creative zine. If you are keen to have your work published please get in touch (creativedirector@fallyrag.com)

We aim to give creative talent exposure across a creative online community and archive all issues so that your poetry is a permanent feature on the site to inspire others and expand the poets fanbase.

Thank you for your time, Jon

I'm here to tell y'all that I am just about to print up my latest poetry booklet. This one is called Poems for the Year and is a collection of over 20 brand new poems. These poems are not found in any of my other poetry booklets. This booklet is a culmination of a project I have been working on through 2008. I have written one or more poems in a variety of styles for each month, from the cold of Kansas winter to the heat of Kansas summer.

If you want one or more copies, I am asking for $2 (or trade) each.

You can send dollars or cool things to me at the following address:

Since July 2005 I've had a project I call "Haiku a Day", where I ... wait for it ... write a haiku a day (caveat: I'm aware there's more to haiku than 5-7-5, but amongst other reasons I'm really drawn to trying to communicate an idea in a small number of syllables).

Once a month I bundle them up into a zine and mail them out, mostly to friends. I pretty much just give them away --- you can go to http://kula.tproa.net/had/ and download them and print them out if you want, but of course, that's no fun. I love mailing them out, and will do it for a trade of anything creative, be it a zine you've done, or a postcard, whatever. Details at the website.
