I emailed the organizers of Philly Zine Fest a couple months ago and have yet to hear anything. If it's not happening but you do end up putting something together, my friend and I (we run Electric Windmill) would love to table at the event! We're in Seattle right now but will be heading back east (we're originally from NJ), and if the event is anytime after late September then we'd be in! Also, I may be able to help with planning and set up and stuff. Depends on how soon we get back there, not sure what stops yet we'll be making on the way. Possibly Albuquerque Zine Fest, Twin Cities Zine Fest, definitely SF Zine Fest, and possibly Handmade & Bound in Nashville.

It's awesome that there are people in Philly who still want to see a fest happen! I thought it was so strange I couldn't find anything anywhere about a 2011 event, yet I heard so many good things about last year.

i'm jumping on this bandwagon to say that i'm interested in helping plan another zine get-together/fest in philly! i'm from lancaster & currently living in baltimore, but i totally believe PA needs more zine events!

Hey Philly Zinesters,

I was alseep just now and awoke with a amazing thought. It doesnt look like there is a Philly Zine Fest planned for this year so why dont we in the Philadelphia area have one of our own (not named Philly Zine Fest)?! Why wait to see if others are going to organize what we can organize ourselves?! I mean, there are 27 members. It doesnt have to be anything big. I am sure we can come up with something... I just dont want the Philly zine scene to die! Philly Zine fest is what got me interested in zines, I do not want to limit others from such a wonderful experience!

Anyone know about Philly Zine Fest 2011? My attendence at the one last year is the whole reason I fell in love with zines. There has  to be one this year! Also, does anyone want to start a zine writing group that meets in person somewhere in Philadelphia? We can go to a coffee shop, talk about what we are working on.

Hey all, don't forget the Philly Zine Fest is coming up soon! Sunday September 20 from 12-6pm at the Rotunda, 4014 Walnut in West Philly. You can also register for a table, spaces are still open! Hi, I wanted to let you guys know I am putting out my 4th issue on sunday may 17th. I'm having a release party at a house in old kensington. There are some really sweet bands playing. Unfortunately there is a $6 cover b/c of the bands but if you can come I would be totally down with some zine trading. Here's the flier.
