Is there a list somewhere of all the perzine titles? I have an idea of what to call mine, but don't know if it's already being used. Maybe the list is different on a couple websites? any advice??

I've just finished the first issue of my Perzine, Squidling is Dancer. It's a half-sized 8 page zine with a bunch of tutorials and exerpts from journal entries that are from up to 2 years ago. If anyone wants to trade, I'd be interested in other Perzines, mostly. And if we do trade, I'll write a brief critique/review of your zine if you'll write one for me (I want reviews to publish on the back of the next issue of "Squidling is Dancer") (all due credits will be included, of course). Photoes of the issue can be found on my userpage...if you're interested, comment me or e-mail me at indiesquidling@gmail.com! Thanks!

Hey

I just finished #2 of 'Cat's Teeth'. This one is titled 'She'd match my spit with spite' reflections, memories, diary snippets about my first relationship / sexual experience / girlfriend / blood-sister at 16 - plunging myself in to vampirism, self-harm, satanism, bdsm - the concluding betrayal and our reunion 6 years later. (Turned a bit epic, twice as long as #1.)
I prefer to trade. If you're interested, contact me on wintermuse@gmail.com

I just completed #2 of my perzine - DISCONCERTING yesterday. It's about the strange but memorable people I've come across, the often weird and unlucky situations I find myself in, the noisy primary school in front of my block and old journal entries (from as far as 14 years back) and interesting quotes. Quite text-heavy with little drawings here and there.

40 pages
1/4 sized

If you're interested, drop me a line! Not really accepting trades at the moment unless you have thicky wordy perzine around 32 pages or more.

The thoughts been bubbling in my head recently of putting together a collaborative TMI (ie: 'too much information') zine. This is mainly a flow on from releasing a 1/8 size mini-perzine - that was well 'n truly TMI in nature (boring transgression whilst waiting for a uni lecture) - to far more people than I had planned, and receiving predominantly positive responses.

I'm quite fond of TMI pieces - they tend to cut through the crap of prudish responses to a variety of 'Oh no! Don't go there...' topics, especially so when they're written in a rather blunt and frank tone.

If anyone else here is keen on writing a little piece on a topic that's particularly TMI, then chucking it together with a bunch of similar pieces, raise your hands. I haven't thought any further than this germ of an idea, so the logistics of collation and distribution are still yet to come.

I tend to default to anonymity with my zines, regardless of content, and I'm assuming most people will want to for this group, but that can probably be a fairly personal decision - no point in forcing people to disguise themselves any more than they wish.

Thoughts? Comments? Etc? Even if you hate the idea, it'd be great to get a bit of discussion on this particular branch of perzines.
