It was an article on the Sticky Institute facebook page. They run a zine bookshop in Melbourne here in Australia. Will post the link here in the next few days.

I second what Betty is saying. Like, word for word. Lis, where did you hear about this?

I have nothing against Drew Barrymore, but I was not thrilled with Whip It. I mean, I liked a couple of things, but it's not like it captured what derby is about. I'm even less excited about her doing a movie about zines. But, at the same time, it could get some more people into doing zines, so that's not necessarily a bad thing.

I heard recently that Drew Barrymore is going to direct a film about someone who does zines. Is this going to be a good thing? Or will zines go the wag that roller derby skaters have? Venus Punk confused.

hello everyone! i made a 24-hour zine last month; actually this was my first zine ever :)

quarter-sized (A6), 32 pages, hand-sewn; inside black&white, each cover is hand-colored with crayons. done in the old cut n' paste style, it's your typical perzine, with short stories of my childhood, typewriters, finding a gray hair, and insects, among other tidbits...

copies of Ladybug #1 available for 1 euro, plus postage (PayPal preferred; but i might accept cash in foreign currency: $1,50 USD/CAD/AUD, or £1 GBP plus postage), or a trade for other zines (*SELECTED TRADES ONLY* for now).
* check this post for details, more pics & info on how to order/trade *

If you like perzines the documentary Stephen Tobolowsky's Birthday Party (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stephen_Tobolowsky%27s_Birthday_Party) is really great.

Tobolowsky is a character actor who's appeared in over 200 films and TV series and the documentary follows him on his birthday as he tells anecdotes from his life.

Hey guys! Issues 1 and 2 of my perzine Gathered Years are out. They discuss many things but the main topics are cats, crushes, being a cashier (or not, as of issue 2), gardening, mental health, love, and home. Typewritten, cut and paste, and made with a lot of love. :) You can contact me through here or pick them up at my Etsy shop

Hi Everyone,
I have just made my first issue of a new zine 'this is water' which is a 7 day zine about trying to pay attention, inspired by the late great David Foster Wallace.

Hi, my seagerl series is over. There are nine issues available. My new series is called Sober Crush. Geez... cute boys tug at my heart strings.
