Hey folks! Pretty soon We're going to be
thickening the zine collection at red and
Black. While we've got an awesome selection
of zines, we'd like to have more
contributions from local folks to include
in the permenant collection. Our focused
Genres include animal rights, politics, (A)
feminism, queer lib, DIY. No poetry, but we
love all other types of zines. We'd love to
have more PNW illustrators and comic makers
included, as well. There is a collection
box at Red and Black, or you can e-mail
warholadanielle@gmail.com and make
arrangements. We are working on a sale
selection as well, and all contributions
will be considered for that as we come to
finalizing the system. We will be doing a
featured zine display every two weeks (with
an internet feature on RNB's facebook,
resume of charm blog, and hopefully we will
be able to sell those selected!), with an
emphasis on Local zine and comic makers!
When submiting, please be sure to fill out
the form with Name, zine title, e-mail and
a mailing address if you have one - all
donatations taken as part of our collection
will recieve something small in the mail!

Out of town folks who want to be included,
please mail to

This took me forever but I have some good interviews with Justin from Retox and George from Blacklisted.

Numerous show reviews and album reviews. This has a whole lot of pacific northwest music. Murderess, Black Queen, Dogshredder & more.
Plus Stanton Moore Trio and Melt Banana (a few others)

I also have some of issue 2 left and I'm working on issue 4.

I'm new here, paying my membership at the center here on monday, thought I'd take the time to introduce myself and my zine titled "Alcohol May Intensify This Effect".  Guess you'd consider it a "perzine", though I'd consider it a mesh of a bunch of different random things.  I'm gonna throw it into the library, so read it if you think a counter-culture trip to the bay area might be interesting.

I'm new here, so I wanted to introduce myself and my new zine - "Miss Tracy's Guide To Handmade Hair + Body Products."  The zine is a guide of simple recipes to show you how to make your own natural body products like deodorants, shampoos, body oils, lip balms and more.  You can see pics and get more info on my blog at www.tracyville.blogspot.com or snag a copy from Powells Books.  Thanks for looking.

I just moved to Portland and I'm looking for new zinester friends. Anyone have time for a new friend?

The Half & Half is stupendous. Good quiche. The art on the walls of the bathroom's a little disarming, however. Good thing they have wifi or I'd punch a hole in the wall.

Is anybody here signed/signing up for the Creative Writing Certificate Program at the IPRC? Does anybody know when it starts or other details? (Alex....?)

If anyone would like a copy of my minizines for free I am glad to mail them or meet up somewhere on the central east side/ Nopo area. My mission is making one mini zine every week until next years PZS. Right now I have completed two.

Anyone interested in submitting a dream? I'm putting together a zine with dreams, why we have them, and dream interpretations. Submission deadline July 25th.
