I was at Vanessa Berry's talk at the MCA Zine Fair last Sunday. Someone asked her if there were any "older" people making zines. "Yes me", I said. That gave me a buzz. (I'm 70.)

I remember "Maximum Rock and Roll" doing an issue of punks over 30, and I thought I'd never live that long. I was probably over 30 when it came out though. Here's to the last 30 years... and the next 30! I hope I can still be publishing that long.

glad to see some of us old farts in this group - i'm 45, been doing zines since the mid/late 80s - mainly music and movies and i'm slower these days than then but i still have a couple going... weird being online though since there was a time when i had drawers full of correspondence and zines and tapes from people (and viceversa) now its all emails back and forth... :)

I'm so glad for this and to see how many people over 30 are still making zines and reading them!! I'm technically not 30 yet, but I will be in 4 days (so I figured I should count, right?!)
I've been zining since I was 15, so for half my life now and I still love it as much as I did when I started (even tho I don't produce as many zines as I did back then since I have less time due to having two kids, but still, I'm at it!!) I'm hoping to do a zine about my life 15 years ago, how I got into zines and how it changed my life. It just seems so appropriate now since it is half my life! :)
