I'm 34 and making zines... The more I do it, the more zines I read and the more I read about zines, the more I want to see people making them. I always wanted one of those little printing presses with rubber letters as a kid - how is it that we lose the desire for that kind of thing? I want to get people excited about expressing themselves and zines are such an awesome way to do that!

Ewww... bit of verbal diarrhoea there...

im 33. i first heard about zines when i was about 28, but i only started getting into them and reading them when i was 31. i really wish i had heard of them years ago, i could have had so much material to make a zine about. im slowly working on my first zine, i started it for a zine trade project on another site but i failed to get it started in time, so its a slow process.

I'm 44 and a noob to making zines. Actually that's not true, I've participated in several mail art projects over the years that resulted in collaborative zines, but I've only just made my first one.
PS I am a parent of two preteen girls.

Geez... I only published my 1st zine a mere 6 months before turning 30. I´ve got 8 issues under my belt now at age 33. I regularly correspond with a handful of zine publishers who are in their 50s & 60s. Whenever I start to complain about feeling old & out of touch with the world it´s these folks who set me straight, put me in line & remind me of how much living (& self-pubIishing) I still have ahead of me... Age is only a state of mind.

I'm 31, got a late start with my first zine at 28 (27 if you count the 1-sheet I started earlier that year which later grew to 8 full-size pgs - so OK, 27). All comics so far, though I have a couple of non-comics zines waiting to come out at some point.
