Here's my first ever zine! It's very short, but free. :) I got the idea to make zines when my teacher made it a class project (which I thought was pretty awesome.) This zine is a testimony about how I became a Christian because of this demonic experience I had. It has showed me that God, Jesus Christ, Heaven, Hell, demons and exorcisms are indeed real.
It's a very short zine, I hope it qualifies as one. You can read the PDF form here: The%20Incubus%20a%20testimony.pdf
Arcane Angles is a new zine, created by a Zine Newbie (sorta), that covers the Occult, the Paranormal, and the Bizarre (along with some morbid stuff). I have some copies in stock at Quimby's in Chicago for $2. I also sell them out of my home, but am very interested in correspondence and receiving zines of similar content. I try to use rare photos and a combination of my own artwork. If interested email me at: email@example.com
Hello! If any of you newbies want to submit any art you've made recently please send it along to thechickencoop AT live DOT co DOT uk
Well, it depends. If they are consignment, you might not have to try that hard - depending on the distro. As far as trading, have you tried trading directly with other zinesters instead of doing it through a distro? Regardless, might as well try and then build on what you learn. Good luck.
Hi Betty - thanks for the links! I did some research on distros in my home country too, and the policies seem pretty standard. I think I'll try sending out a couple of samples, then worry about the rules after I find out if they're interested in stocking it. I'm anxious it's a bit noobish and that I might have to try harder. Not that I didn't try hard, but you know, *angst*
Hey Lindsey, you can try researching distros that are out there and decide which one/s seem like they might be a good fit and what their "policies" are. For instance, I just looked up three and they all provide information on how/if they will look at selling zines from their distros (for more specific questions, probably just contact the distro since they are all different):http://msvalerieparkdistro.com/about/
My first ever perzine is finished and listed on Folksy - has anyone here sent stuff to distros? I'm thinking of making some enquiries but I'm not sure about etiquette, if you can list in several at once or if they'd mind me offering copies for exchange - does anyone have any experience they can share?
My first comic zine is out, about a lonely little fish-headed DJ called Theodore knuckle. Illustrated with brush and ink, 12 black and white pages, colour cover. Buy it here or yell me on here if you would like to swap!
Hey y'all!!! Texas Queer Youth zine is a go, if you've got any suggestions, we can exchange!!
Just finished my first zine Superstructure - film theory based fanzine, contact me for a copy!
