i just finished my first issue of my perzine! this zine is titled a tale of two cities: baltimore vs new york city. it's a composite of my experiences & reflections about moving from manhattan to baltimore. i talk a lot about what it means to call a place home, community, race, class, what it means to be queer & a feminist in both places, nostalgia etc. 24 pages, half size. i would love love love to trade! comment, inbox, or email uniunverse@gmail.com

I've taken my time putting this zine together, but it will be ready in about a week's time, so let me know if you want it. Free, 48 pages long and what we call A5 - is that 'quarter-sized' in US money? just gimme an address & I'll post it.

Just returned from a visit to NYC and will post my mini-zine/travelogue to the fab zine places I visited:

abc no rio
bluestockings
archive
printed matter

If anyone wants one when I stick it together, tell me an address to post it to.
(oh it's also sketches of places with an anarchist history, in a kind of combined zine - read 1 way it's zines, read the other direction it's anarchist history)

Hey yous! Please contact me to swap zines or about crafty, ziney things! I write a satirical serialized Williamsburg mystery zine series, and maybe you'll laugh at it. With it? At it?

Redguard's organizing a reading at Bluestockings in Manhattan on Jan. 7. This could be a perfect way for folks to gather. There are readings, there's an open mic, bring your zine!

Brandi Lee and I are going down to the Philly Zine Fest this weekend. Any other NYC zinesters planning to go?
