howdy montreal folks... hoping you'll be able to assist:) trying to track down shelley forget who created the awesome zine 'mixtape'. i think she put out 5 copies between 2005-2007? i reside in canberra, australia and came across her zines at the national library archive. thought they were super awesome, and would like to get some copies myself. if anyone has any contact details, please pm me:) cheers, nat

Hey all! Queer Book Fair happening in Montreal this weekend.

Montreal’s fourth annual Queer Lit Book Fair in Montreal is being held from 12pm to 6pm on Saturday, August 13 2011 at Centre St-Pierre (1212 rue Panet).

This event is free, wheelchair-accessible, and part of the fifth annual alternative pride series Pervers/cité. Free on-site childcare will also be available all day and snacks and beverages will be served outside.

Hi all. I'm in charge of The Original Universe, a zine about comicbooks made here in Montreal. I won an Aurora award for it in 2009.

Unfortunately Expozine isn't accessible to  me (stairs) so I can't attend. :(

Hi everyone!

I am working at the Café Coop Touski (2361 Ontario E) and i've got the project to set up a zine and independant publications bookshop in February. You could leave in consignement 5/6 exemplaries of your zines. We don't take percentages on your sales. Free zines are welcome!
We will be launching the zine shop with an event with shows and readings in March and we could plan events to launch your zines, we are really open to proposals!
This project is really open-minded and has for goals to offer some visibility to artists, to encourage alternative creation, artistic and/or politic. However, we do not accept racists, sexists, fascists, hatred sentiments.
If you are interested by this, please email me at samectoplasm@hotmail.fr so we can discuss a moment to meet.
I encourage you to go to the Touski to see if the place pleases you (and enjoy delicious healthy meal in a chill-out atmosphere :))
Share this information with whoever you think could be interested.

Have a wonderful evening!
