Also... I know some local gig promoters who sell zines at their shows. Could get in contact and perhaps give people a chance to sell their work. Good crowds as well, the kind of people who will buy and enjoy zines!

I think I'm up for this. I'm in Birmingham(ish), but I'm a big fan of Notts (and used to live there).

A good place in Notts would be the Sumac, but I guess it's a pain for those travelling/not familiar with Notts.

If anyone would be up for Brum, I know the promoter at The Victoria, she's into zines and maybe we could blag the upstairs room in the day time?

I'm just thinking out loud.

yup, are you on facebook? go have a look. someone wrote in january about it. ive never been there but even im sad about it, lol cause it seems like a kewl place. its a shame when kewl places have to close :S

i just found a facebook group about *dotty's* (the place someone mentioned about meeting) and apparently its closed/is closing :S

that sounds kewl:) its just i wasnt really sure at first but now i get that its just a *meet* sort of thing:) gawd i havent been to nottingham for donkeys years, at least the year 2001 or so. wow thats a loooong time. it did used to be about £1 more then going to brum but it sooooo isnt now. i havent a clue what happened there, it just seemed to go up massively, because i was checking the other week about going shopping there and was so shocked at how much its gone up. anyway ill shut up babbling now;) for anyone who lives there whats the shopping like?? it used to be pretty kewl all those years ago. :)
