I think play-pits are out in the suburbs, in fact I *know* there area few around here.

I was thinking maybe The Coffee Lounge on Station St, or perhaps the cafe at Ikon Gallery. or maybe a Spoons pub. Or wait, if it;s Sunny we could go the the Flapper and sit by the canal! woo!

On the contrary, I think a 'child friendly' meet would be great. Is there anywhere with some slides and a ball pool? I could go for that.

I'm free most of the time- just not saturday mornings. And I think i'll just mention theres a group meeting that I want to go to and leave it at that - my parents are fairly good about letting me do what I want. Unfortunately I am not tall (5'1 in fact :D) so I don't think I'll get away with a pub - or maybe if i just mill in with everyone else going in. Please don't feel at all obliged to make the meet up 'child friendly'.

Hey guys. I'm from the Midlands also!! Check out my discussion on the SCREAM LABORATORY. Get involved! When and where are you guys meeting? Only in Birmingham until next week but will be back soon.

Doing my Masters at the moment in Architecture. Trying to use the method of zines for some of my work. If any of you guys are interested then let me know. Thanks.

It's not like we meet down dark alleys, we'll meet somewhere public.
Perhaps a cafe or something would be better?

Brum sounds good to me. What sort of place are we thinking? I could try to blag the room above the vic if people think that'd be good. Oh wait, Hannah said she's doing her GCSE's, I;m really not sure how these things work with youngsters nowdays. In my day it was okay to be reasonably tall.. are you tall Hannah? ;-)

Hannah- mytip for getting 'round parental issues is to tell them no more than they need to know, that yr off to town..

ummmm, I'm trying to think of non-licenced venues, but my experience of town doesn;t really include many of those places. There's that awful food court above pallasades? Or I suppose there's The Warehouse Cafe?

Lee, any idea?

Birmingham sounds good (as I am there :D)..though I'm not sure I'll have a zine to trade - maybe whip up some copies of my 24 hour zine if anyones interested (and if my parents let me meet up with some internet strangers - wonder how i'm going to get that one past them?)

I'm down for another one. We can all set ourselves deadlines to have new zines to trade completed for it!
Where this time? Birmingham?
