Hurray! So we had some meetings this past weekend about the Birmingham Zine Festival (such a fancy name!) and things are full steam ahead at the moment. We're planning on having the event(s!) from friday the 10th of september - sunday the 12th, and it looks like there will be lots of fun things to see and do.

You can follow us on twitter @birmzinefest and we should have a website and more information coming sooooooon.

In other news I think I forgot to post about the zine several of us put together about the first midlands zine meetup, you can see the cover (drawn by Lee!) here: http://wemakezines.ning.com/photo/the-first-midlands-zine-meetup

It turns out I have to be at a barbecue anyway. I totally wanna stand around with people I don't know watching em shovel flesh in their faces instead of going to the zine symposium. bah!

Oh man don't give me options! A day travel pass sounds just fine :) unfortunately I don't think I'll have time to think of anything other than "am I going to make it to the symposium alive / at all" but thank you for the suggestion :D

I just thought. If yr planning to only go to The symposium and backthen you might be best off buying individual tickets.
If you get to town early you couldalways go to Camden and check out All Ages Records http://www.allagesrecords.com/. I spent half my dole inthein 10 minutes last week :-/

just buy a day travel pass (or whatever they call em) at a machine at Euston, they're about 6-7 quid. I'm In a MOOD with Oyster as they owe me Twenty quid at the moment!
