I am making a mini-zine (8 fold vert cuts) once a week starting with the Portland Zine Symposium 2009 going to 2010. IF you would like any of my zines or all of them I will send them to you free of charge within the USA, or for trade to anywhere else on planet earth.

I don't know if I'll ever make a mental health zine. Despite the fact that I've had a mental illness for 16 years, I think making a zine limited just to my problems would have a very negative and depressing effect on me. Nevertheless, I support people that make mental health zines because it's an area that really needs more publicity in the zine community; plus I can see how it would be a wonderful release for certain people. So I really appreciate the fact that there's a mental health zine group.

I've just finished my first perzine ever ALPOLG. It was made as an effort to cope with emotions i do not usually deal with.

Functionally ill #5 is out! It's about being rediagnosed with schizoaffective disorder, applying for Medi-Cal, dealing with bureaucracy, what my anxiety feels like, and losing services. There's a lot packed into this small issue. So get in touch if you're interested in trading! The only catch is that I'm going on a big trip for the first 20 days of July. hey, if anyone is interested i have helped put together Pathologize This!: a mental health zine which is a comp zine on mental health and its stigmas. i have copies available on pdf of the first and second editions so if you send me your e-mail address i will gladly send you over some mental health zines. (i also have comp zines on reproductive autonomy and queer and trans youth resistance avilable on pdf too)
