I'm pulling together a collective of creative work by women around the world into a series of zines called Dainty As Fuck. I am asking you all very politely to submit creative material of any kind, be it poetry, short story (fiction or non-fiction), photography, drawings, or whatever else tickles your fancy. The deadline for all material will be the 1st of December 2011, so you have plenty of time to get your stuff to me. The aim is to have the first of the zines published by the 1st of January 2012, and will be available at Sticky in Melbourne CBD. If you do not live in the Melbourne area or wish to have an electronic copy sent to you, don't hestitate to email me.
Please email your submissions and/or any questions to fkyeahactivism@yahoo.com by the 1st of December 2011. I would greatly appreciate your input :)
**Make sure you type "zine" or "dainty as fuck" or something along those lines in the subject line of your email or it will be deleted.**
Please invite your FEMALE friends. Submissions can be of any genre, it's completely up to you (checkout the Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=121957441218810 )
Any submissions that don't make it into the first edition, will be published in subsequent editions. Please include your name exactly as you want it to appear on each submission, even if it's just anonymous.
Many thanks in advance :)

Comment by QueensBee Zines on March 16, 2011 at 8:56pm Fresh off the press: It's FruitYoga!
It's 20 pages of the total fun with fruits demonstrating yoga asanas or poses.
All illustrations were done by moi, in watercolor, with English and Sanskrit yoga asana terms.
Pages/cover were hand-sewn together.
Used some of these images to teach yoga to my ESL students! Great for language learning and calming the mind!
Been doing yoga for 3 years. Changed my perspective, life and overall well-being! And it's fun too :)
Limited edition of 50 copies.
See more images and order now on my Etsy!
Namaste!

A6 (quarter) sized, 40 pages, pretty text-heavy
The latest issue of my perzine focuses on the history of my relationship with the internet (including my first experiences of using it in a small-town library, its role in facilitating my partner and I getting together & why I no longer use livejournal or facebook); and my diagnosis of Borderline Personality Disorder (including a breakdown of its definition, my own experience of its symptoms and a reflection on its validity - or otherwise - as a diagnosis). There are also handwritten intro and outros, a "guess the lyrics" quiz and some yummy winter soup recipes (suitable for vegans). It's partly typewritten, partly handwritten and was made cut and paste style.
Please visit this post on my blog for information on how to get a copy.
