If I have to go to LA to find other `zines I will, since there are apparently none here!

This Saturday, July 11th from 4-7, The Urban Craft Center, in conjunction with Only For The Open Minded Press, will be hosting a zine swap and workshop at the Los Angeles Renegade Craft Fair!!
Bring your zines to trade, or donate to the Only For the Open Minded zine library. Come find out about our DIY distro. Create a page in our collaborative Renegade Zine! There will be over 200 vendors at the Craft Fair so this is not to be missed!

Saturday July 11 4-7pm

All of it sounds so awesome I was trying to have a zine gathering tomorrow but it's hard to get people to get into it. I'm sure I could get some Razorcakes to donate...that'd be fun to make them at your house...you probably have more dedicated peeps.

Hi N.L! If you have any zines that you want to donate for people to read (not purchase), OR, if you'd like to come with us sometime and ride around town sharing zines we'd love to find the people who want to spark up the L.A Zine scene. Jen was a huge inspiration and help - she donated her zine collection to our distro!!! We are going to start having zine making workshops at our house if you would like to come and bring friends!
BTW wouldn't this be the ultimate dream???????????

No problem Jen. I recently moved from Denver to Hollywood...so I haven't found any rad libraries here in L.A. but my friend in Colorado donated hers to the Denver Zine library....http://www.denverzinelibrary.org/
I'm trying to talk her into getting back into it with no avail.

I've seen an old post about this library:

YRL Rm 22478, UCLA 951575, Los Angeles, CA 90095-1575.
Phone 310.825.7253 Archivist: Julie Graham.
"Collection consists of privately printed and distributed arts and literary magazines. The inventory is available via the Online Archive of California. All zines are non-circulating and must be used in our reading room. We accept any zine so long as it doesn't contain perishable contents (i.e. food). Due to space restrictions, we cannot accept multiple copies of a single issue."
